MDCS42370 Stage2 Trans Research Skills B

This module is for graduate research students in the School of Medicine. PhD students should be in their second year of their studies. The module is designed to further enhance students communications and critical analysis skills. Topics covered will include how to approach the writing of a PhD research thesis and how to organise, and chair a scientific session at a meeting. Students will provide feedback to peers on their presentation skills. They will reflect on their learning throughout the module and on their development as a translational scientist.

Learning Outcomes:

After successful completion of this module students should be able to:
Plan the content of their final research thesis and know how to go about writing it
Organise and chair a scientific session at a meeting
Give constructive feedback to peers
Reflect on their development as a translational scientist

In order to register for MDCS42370 students need to have completed MDSA40200 and MDCS42360 OR have completed MDCS42340, MDCS42350 and MDCS42360
