On completion of this module, candidates will demonstrate knowledge, understanding and competence in:
• primary and secondary trauma assessments
• the anatomical and physiological underpinnings of trauma and its management
• using appropriate adjuncts
• specific trauma patterns and presentations
• special trauma circumstances (e.g. the elderly, environmental issues)
• incorporating the care of underlying or intercurrent medical conditions
