Curricular information is subject to change.

The Research Skills Module is part of the Professional Masters in Child Art Psychotherapy and comprises formal
teaching of 10 hours and subsequent submission of a research protocol of 3,000 - 5,000 words. Students are
required to give a brief presentation of the plan for their research protocol in class.
The final Research Protocol includes a Review of the relevant literature, the aims of
study, and a description of a proposed research study. The actual research is not carried out during the time of the course but the necessary training is provided for the trainee to participate in carrying out a research study.

100% attendance is expected, but 80% attendance is the minimum attendance required to achieve credit for the
module. Absences must be discussed with the module coordinator or course lecturers, who will require supporting
documentation (e.g. medical certificates). Students who miss part of the module may be asked to do a further piece
of work in remediation.
