At the end of the module, a student is expected to have developed skills in the provision of Child Art Psychotherapy. The student should be able to indicate the ability to engage with and work with a young person for a number of sessions of Child Art Psychotherapy, and be able to demonstrate or discuss progress that the young person has made in the course of attending Child Art Psychotherapy. The student should also have learned to integrate their professional skills with those of other multidisciplinary team members in the CAMHS setting.
The student should have developed the ability to reflect on the role of Child Art Psychotherapy within the wider multidisciplinary context and to have some understanding of the legal framework (eg consent) and ethical considerations in mental health service provision.

Any student who is considered to be struggling with professional formation or with developing the skills of child art psychotherapy will be given advance feedback and a remediation plan will be suggested.
