Approaches to Teaching and Learning:
Students will have to read and write short critiques of scholars’ papers; classes will consist of the scholar presenting their paper, followed by class discussion. The first and last classes will be lecture/discussion, the first being an introduction and the last being a recapitulation and summary of the semester.

Students on this module are expected to have read and understood the UCD Academic Integrity Policy and the School Protocol on Academic Integrity. Students must ensure that they comply with all requirements laid down therein and avoid academic misconduct. As more fully described in the syllabus, available on the Google Drive, students are permitted to use generative artificial intelligence, or other machine learning technology, in their learning and in completing assessments on this module but should note its limitations and that 'cut and pasted' submissions will be graded accordingly. Students need not follow any particular citation format in citing sources in completing assessments; they may follow Oscola Ireland or US Bluebook, or they may simply provide a hyperlink to the relevant source(s).
