LAW42150 Employment Law 2

Academic Year 2021/2022

The theme of this module is the set of statutory and common law rules constraining the employer's prerogative in the employment relationship. The module focusses on the extent to which the legislature, often in the context of Ireland's EU obligations, has prescribed a floor of employee rights and the role the courts have played in interpreting that legislation. The module also considers the dispute resolution process established by the Workplace Relations Act 2015.
