This module focuses on disputes and ways to manage and resolve them. The module looks at:

- Conflict and Dispute Resolution;
- Alternative Dispute Resolution;
- Communication Skills; and
- Mediation Theory.

Learning Outcomes:
On successful completion of this Module, students should be able to :

1. Compare and contrast different approaches to analysing conflict

2. Apply conflict analysis to conflict situations and recommend interventions.

3. Determine how different types of communication can either contribute to or help resolve conflict

Approaches to Teaching and Learning:
The module is delivered in online learning units which students will engage with in their own time, and which include periodic self assessment exercises that enable students to plot and manage their progress. Online learning will be supplemented by a scheduled live session or sessions involving interaction and exercises with Faculty and fellow students. The module is assessed via an online Multiple Choice Question examination.
