Learning Outcomes:

Upon successful completion of this module students will to able to:

(a) Describe the principal legal rules and principles governing leases, licences, freehold and leasehold covenants, mortgages, and easements
(b) Apply the rules and principles of Irish property law to complex problems
(c) Engage critically with primary legal materials including case law and statuory material.
(d) Conduct independent legal research

Approaches to Teaching and Learning:
Lectures will present key themes and will introduce students to the main rules of Irish property law.

Students will be expected to prepare independent readings in advance of seminars which will provide an opportunity for student led exploration of key issues from the module.
