LAW40550 Irish Law & Legal Procedure

Academic Year 2022/2023

This module focuses on the Irish law of contract, tort, evidence and litigation procedure. The focus is on the general principles rather than on the principles specific to arbitration, and the purpose of the module is to equip students who do not hold university law degrees or equivalent qualifications with the knowledge to be able to address legal issues arising in the substance of a dispute. Students who are qualified barristers or solicitors or who hold approved university law degrees or interdisciplinary degrees having a substantial law component are exempt from this module.
