LAW30640 Competition Law in Practice

Academic Year 2023/2024

This module examines how EU Competition Law operates in practice.
Art 101 TFEU prohibits anti-competitive arrangements among market actors and Art 102 TFEU prohibits the abuse of a dominant position by one or more undertakings.
Taking a practical and problem based perspective, analysis is made of market strategies such as price fixing and market sharing cartels, discriminatory rebates and unfair pricing and other practices.
Each student is expected to participate ACTIVELY and positively in practical learning exercises both in class and outside class time.
