This course addresses the fundamental legal principles which govern the relationship between banks, their customers and third parties in the retail banking context

Learning Outcomes:

On completion of this Module students should have a knowledge and understanding of

1. the fundamental terms of the contract between banker and customer
2. the liabilities of banks to customers and third parties
3. the rights and obligations created by particular payment mechanisms
4. the regulatory powers possessed by the CBI
