Having completed this module students will be able to:- discuss the influence of civil procedure on modern civil law; - iidentify when a civil cause of action accrues and advise on the time limits for initiation of a civil action;- advise whether a given dispute is appropriate for Alternative Dispute Resolution procedures and discuss the pros and cons of various types of dispute resolution process; - identify the correct court in which to commence proceedings and explain the apropriate type of process to be used; - discuss the use of injunctions and discovery in civil proceedings; - explain the proceedings in a civil trial;- outline the process for execution of judgment in Irish Law,and generally advise a party to an Irish civil dispute on their options in a given case.
