This module aims to focus on effective lesson planning, observation and feedback strategies for TESOL practitioners. Teachers will be observed and receive feedback on the teaching of an area of TESOL. Participants will also observe the classroom and critically reflect on the appropriate exposure to models of language use and the choice of materials and methods in particular contexts. Successful candidates will gain a comprehensive understanding of lesson planning and classroom management, and will acquire skills for their professional and academic development.

About this Module

Learning Outcomes:

On completion of this module students will have:
focused attention on a cycle of observation and the provision of relevant feedback
reflected on feedback and learned how to apply to modification of classroom practice
understood key concepts, terminology and theoretical frameworks related to teaching in particular contexts
developed insights into the creation of positive pedagogical environments facilitating language learning
addressed the key practical areas of classroom management and lesson planning
