On completion of this module students should be able to:
• be able to understand short, simple messages in ISL in routine situations
• be able to use a series of phrases in ISL related to information about oneself, family, occupation, shopping, etc.
• demonstrate an ability to manage short social conversations
• be aware of current issues related to the deaf community
Students who achieve at least a B grade at the end of this module are deemed to have reached Level A1.1 of the Common European Framework
