IS41060 Research and Practice in LIS

Academic Year 2021/2022

Library and Information Studies, by and large, is concerned with developing, managing, and providing access to information resources, representing and organising information, and deploying information technologies in effective and innovative ways. In this module, we will take a socio-technical approach to understand the broad range of topics, issues, and methodologies in information research. This module also serves as an introduction to the process of academic and professional research by developing key skills in desk research associated with the research process.
