This module provides management skills and techniques for information professionals involved in the design and implementation of projects in a variety of settings. It covers the management documentation and processes essential to successful project management, including the ability to think critically and strategically about the management of project scope, deliverables, resources, people, risk, and quality. It also covers the competencies and qualities of successful project managers.



About this Module

Learning Outcomes:

On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
1. Understand standards, principles, and methodologies for managing people and projects
2. Demonstrate knowledge of the project lifecycle and the responsibilities of project managers
3. Apply project management approaches and techniques to achieve project outputs, outcomes, benefits
4. Analyse issues that arise when working with teams and project stakeholders
5. Think critically about their potential role as project managers and information managers
