This module provides management skills and techniques for information professionals involved in the design and development of information systems such as websites and apps. It covers the tools and processes essential to successful project management, including the ability to think critically and strategically about the management of resources, people, projects and technology, and to take into account organisational culture within IT projects.



About this Module

Learning Outcomes:

On successful completion of this module, students should be able to:
1. Understand theories, principles and techniques of project and personnel management
2. Demonstrate core management skills, such as project identification, planning and scoping
3. Understand the issues and techniques involved in leading and managing teams and working with stakeholders
4. Demonstrate skills in project budgeting, communication and documentation
5. Think critically about their potential role as managers within IT projects
