Staidéar faoi leith ar sholaoidí den agallamh fileata agus den dearbhú i bhfilíocht na Gaeilge. Mionléamh ar Cúirt an Mheán Oíche le Brian Merriman fara téacsaí eile. Staidéar ar fhriotal na ndánta féin d'fhonn teacht i ngiorracht éigin d'aigne na bhfilí a chum iad. Eolas ar théamaí a bhí coitianta i bhfilíocht na Gaeilge ón ochtú céad déag. Tuiscint ar dhá genre thábhachtacha sa tréimhse úd, i.e. ar an agallamh fileata agus ar an dearbhú. Tuiscint ar cad ba bhunús leis an nguth áititheach baineann atá go láidir sna dánta féin. Eolas ar chleachtaí sóisialta an chultúir choitinn san ochtú céad déag in Éirinn. Léargas a fháil ar phróiséas na ceapadóireachta fileata féin.
