Díreofar ar chomhthéacs agus ar scileanna gairmiúla na meán cumarsáide. Pléifear teoiricí na meán mionteanga i gcomhthéacs idirnáisiúnta mar aon le forbhreathnú a thabhairt ar ról na meán mionteanga i sochaí an lae inniu. Cuirfear traenáil phraiticiúil ar fáil trí cheardlanna leis an bhfoireann acadúil agus le hiriseoirí aitheanta a bhfuil taithí ghairmiúil acu sna meáin chló, chraolta agus dhigiteacha. Iarrfar ar mhic léinn sleachta léitheoireachta a ullmhú go rialta, chomh maith le scagadh a dhéanamh ar shaothar iriseoireachta ó nuachtáin, irisí, bhlaganna, shuímh idirlín, chláracha teifilíse, scannáin, phodchraoltaí agus chláracha raidió. Beidh rannpháirtíocht sna ceardlanna iriseoireachta mar chuid lárnach den mhodúl seo, chomh maith le freastal ar sheimineáir taighde na Scoile.

About this Module

Learning Outcomes:

Ag deireadh an mhodúil, beidh na mic léinn in ann:

1. Anailís chriticiúil, choincheapúil a dhéanamh ar ghnéithe lárnacha d'fhorbairt na meán Gaeilge i dtréimhsí éagsúla;
2. Forbairt a dhéanamh ar an gcumas anailíse agus ar an bhfiosracht intleachtúil atá riachtanach mar iriseoir agus feabhas a chur ar chaighdeán na hiriseoireachta dá réir;
3. Taithí a fháil ar shaothar iriseoireachta a dhréachtadh i seánraí éagsúla agus ar chóipeagarthóireacht a dhéanamh ar an saothar sin;
4. Cur amach a léiriú ar na foinsí idirlín, craolta agus cló sna meáin mhionteanga agus an tairbhe is fearr a bhaint astu i gcomhthéacs na Gaeilge;
5. Scileanna gairmiúla a chleachtadh a bhaineann le réimse na meán.

Indicative Module Content:

Braithfidh ábhar an mhodúil seo ar thaithí ghairmiúil na n-aoichainteoirí, chomh maith le réimsí speisialtóireachta na léachtóirí acadúla. Clúdófar na réimsí seo a leanas le linn an mhodúil:

- Léirbhreithniú ar na meáin chló, chraolta agus dhigiteacha

- Feasacht intleachtúil i dtaobh na meán agus cúrsaí reatha

- Forbairtí san iriseoireacht ag leibhéal náisiúnta agus idirnáisiúnta

- Scileanna scríbhneoireachta i gcomhthéacs na meán (scripteanna, ceisteanna, blúiríní nuachta, colúin srl)

- Scileanna eagarthóireachta

- Scileanna taighde

- Scileanna anailíseacha

- Scileanna agallaimh

UNESCO highlights a set of key competencies that support individuals in their development and support society in achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). UCD has adapted these competencies and is combining them with others to form a general framework of learning competencies. This module will help you develop the competencies below to the levels specified.
