Tá an modúl seo bunaithe ar litríocht ré na Nua-Ghaeilge Moiche (1200-1650), idir phrós agus fhilíocht.

Sa chéad leath den mhodúl léifear roinnt dánta a cumadh idir an 14ú hAois agus an 17ú hAois; agus pléifear ábhar, teanga agus meadaracht na ndánta sin. Ina dhiaidh sin, tabharfar aghaidh ar ghiotaí próis a léiríonn gnéithe eile de litríocht na tréimhse sin.

About this Module

Learning Outcomes:

- Beidh tuiscint ag an mac léinn ar shaibhreas agus ar thábhacht litríocht na Gaeilge sa tréimhse seo.
- Beidh tuiscint ag an mac léinn ar stair agus ar fhorbairt na Gaeilge.
- Beidh tuiscint ag an mac léinn ar ghnéithe áirithe den Nua-Ghaeilge Mhoch.
- Beidh an mac léinn in ann téacsanna a léamh agus a aistriú agus beidh sé / sí ábalta cur síos a dhéanamh ar ghnéithe teanga agus meadarachta.

Indicative Module Content:

Tabharfar forléargas do na mic léinn ar theanga agus ar mheadarachtaí fhilíocht ré na Nua-Ghaeilge Moiche. Ina dhiaidh sin, léifear dánta a chum filí gairmiúla i rith na tréimhse sin (m.sh. Fearghal Óg Mac an Bhaird, Tadhg Dall Ó hUiginn agus Gofraidh Fionn Ó Dálaigh). De bhreis air sin, léifear sleachta as téacsanna próis a cumadh sa 17ú hAois.
