This module examines the impact of technological developments, advances in analytics, and digital innovation, on the practice and theory of Human Resource Management. Students will explore the emerging models and frameworks to understand how technology, analytics and digitization are influencing HRM practices and interactions with employees and other stakeholders. Students should expect to engage critically with evidence of these evolving developments and contribute actively to class discussions.

About this Module

Learning Outcomes:

On successful completion of this module, the following outcomes are expected:

1. You will demonstrate that you understand concepts linked with HRM technology, analytics and digital innovation
2. You will show an understanding of the practical changes to HRM practices that are linked with technological advances, HR analytics and digital innovation
3. You will demonstrate that you have an understanding of how technological developments and advances in digitization and analytics fit in with the broader world of work
4. You will display a clear understanding of the opportunities and challenges of these advancements from a range of perspectives including workers, managers, HR practitioners and HR scholars.
