On completion of this module, the students will be able to:
• Recall the structure and properties of body tissues and organs.
• Relate the structure and function of each of the body systems.
• Describe how food is digested and absorbed.
• Outline the role of each of the body systems studied in the maintenance of homeostasis.
The module will cover: core concepts in physiology including homeostasis, the upper and lower gastrointestinal system, urinary system, endocrine system, nervous system, immune system, cardiovascular system, respiratory system, and muscular system.

AT1 Team Based Learning will provide in-class immediate feedback to students in groups on their understanding of core knowledge and during the test process peer review activities will occur. AT2 Group Project will provide peer review activities as students prepare a group project. They will receive feedback on a draft prior to summative assessment and students will self-assess their final product. Post-assessment each student will receive the group's feedback as well as a class-level feedback on group performance.
