On completion of the module, students will have familiarised themselves with the personalities and events of perhaps the most seminal periods in modern history and will be able to navigate the controversies it has spawned. They will have acquired a foundation on which to base their further study of modern Europe in particular. Finally, students will have practised analysing and discussing primary documents.
