On completion of this module students should be able to;
1. Describe and analyse key influences on health and the effect of illness on patients, their families and their communities across different healthcare systems.
2. Take a basic patient history, identify and utilise key communication skills.
3. Demonstrate an understanding of the principles of professionalism, ethics, self-care and evidence based medicine.
4. Demonstrate proficiency in basic life support.

Peer review feedback will be available following the relevant seminar. Aggregated feedback will be made available after the submission of the portfolio and after provisional grade results of the group project. In addition, students will be given individual feedback on their portfolio submission via rubric.
