On completion of this module, students should be able to:
1. Describe and analyse key influences on health and the effect of illness on patients, their families, and their communities, across different healthcare systems.
2. Describe the role of the General Practitioner in the healthcare system.
3. Demonstrate an understanding of the principles of: professionalism, ethics, and evidence-based medicine.
4. Take a basic patient history and identify and utilise key communication skills.
5. Demonstrate proficiency in basic life support.

How will my Feedback be Delivered?

Peer review feedback will be available following the relevant seminar. Aggregated feedback will be made available after the submission of the portfolio and after provisional grade results of the group project. In addition, students will be given individual feedback on their portfolio submission via rubric. This feedback will be made available in the period after the provisional grade results have been released. Self assessment on group work for formative learning following group project.
