Academic Year 2023/2024

Principles in Production of Seeds of Horticultural Plants is designed for Stage 3 Students who are undertaking dual undergraduate degree programmes at Guangzhou-Dublin International College. This course introduces the basic theory of horticultural plant seed characteristics, life activities and its application in production. The theoretical part includes the seed morphological characteristics, development and maturity, chemical composition, physiology and biochemistry, seed deterioration and longevity, seed dormancy and germination, seed vigor. The applied section includes seed production, seed processing, seed identification, seed testing, and seed storage.
