GDIC2012K Biochemistry (Theory&Experiments) FQS+Hort

Academic Year 2023/2024

Biochemistry is the core course for the undergraduate subject in Biological Sciences. This course is designed to introduce undergraduate students to contemporary approaches and paradigms in the field of biochemistry. The module consists of two part, theoretic study and experiments. The course covers proteins, enzymes, nucleic acids, sugars, lipids, vitamins and metabolism. Evaluations will include discussions, essays, and oral presentations. They will see how previously published work forms the foundation for today's experiments, and experience the excitement and interest of a scientific community.
The purpose of Experiment course is to train students to observe biochemical phenomena, correctly record experimental data and analyze experimental results, so that students have the basic experimental ability in the field of life sciences
