This course is a compulsory basic mathematics course for students majoring in engineering, agriculture, and economics and management in colleges and universities. It is a basic knowledge and important tool necessary for learning natural sciences, engineering technology and business management.
Enable students to acquire basic knowledge such as determinants, matrix algebra, linear equations, linear transformations and quadratic forms, master basic operations, cultivate logical thinking, logical reasoning and the ability to use matrix algebra to solve certain practical problems for learning subsequent courses and work lay the necessary foundation.

Learning Outcomes:

Upon successful completion of the course, students should be able to:
• Master the basic knowledge and basic methods of linear algebra. Learn the basic knowledge of linear algebra systematically, master basic operations, and cultivate students' abstract thinking ability, logical reasoning ability, and self-study ability.
• Able to use the ideas and methods of linear algebra to solve practical problems, and have strong practical and innovative abilities. Cultivate students' abstract thinking ability, abstract other professional content and practical problems into linear algebra problems, and lay the foundation for learning subsequent courses. Through the lessoning, students will be able to comprehensively use the knowledge they have learned to analyse and solve practical problems.
• Cultivate students to establish a correct outlook on life and values, promote students' physical and mental health, and have a sound personality.

Approaches to Teaching and Learning:
In the teaching process, according to the characteristics of students, heuristic, case-based, and problem-driven teaching methods are adopted. Based on theoretical basic knowledge, focusing on ability improvement, on the one hand, and let students understand the basic knowledge system of the course on the other hand. The course will focuses on the cultivation of students' innovative consciousness and the ability to apply modern technology to solve practical problems. Through the study of this course, students' interest in learning mathematics and applying mathematics knowledge will be stimulated, and the cultivation of students' ability to solve practical problems will be improved.
While carrying out theoretical teaching, strengthen practical teaching, change the traditional teaching mode of full teaching, adopt heuristic, case-based, and problem-driven teaching methods to cultivate students' independent thinking ability, cultivate students' practical ability and innovation ability, and realize innovation ability Cultivate and integrate into the whole process of education and teaching.
