Advanced mathematics is a compulsory course for all engineering majors in our university. It is an important basic theoretical course for cultivating compound talents who can adapt to the modernization construction and the continuous development of science and technology.
Through the learning of this course, students can systematically acquire the basic knowledge, basic theory and basic methods of calculus, and cultivate their abstract thinking ability, logical reasoning ability, spatial imagination ability and innovation ability, laying the necessary mathematical foundation for learning the following courses and further acquiring mathematical knowledge.

Approaches to Teaching and Learning:
In the teaching process, according to the characteristics of students, heuristic, collaborative approach will be employed, through the course of learning, stimulate students' interest in learning mathematics and applying mathematics knowledge, improve students' ability to solve practical problems.
In the meantime of theoretical teaching, it will also aim to strengthen experimental practice teaching, to change the traditional teaching mode; by using heuristic, case-based, problem-driven teaching methods, to cultivate students' independent thinking ability, to cultivate students' practical ability and innovation ability, to realize innovation ability training into the whole process of education and teaching.
