Through the study of this course, students have a more systematic understanding of the basic concepts, basic theories and basic methods of higher mathematics and linear algebra, and build a broader knowledge structure. Students learn to use the mathematical ideas and methods provided in this course to solve simple application problems.

Develop and improve students' abilities of abstraction, reasoning and induction, research and problem solving, self-access knowledge, and stimulate students' spirit of exploration and innovation, so that students can improve themselves through self-study, analysis and research in future learning and work.

Approaches to Teaching and Learning:
To achieve people-oriented and comprehensive development of students. In the whole process of teaching, multimedia teaching method, case teaching method, heuristic teaching method and other forms are used to stimulate students' interest in learning and improving the initiative of students ' autonomous learning. In the teaching process, teachers are in the position of guiding students to carry out active learning and realize the student-centered classroom teaching.

Inspired teaching method, case teaching method, flipped classroom, brainstorming and other teaching methods, ideological and political education and value shaping are carried out throughout the whole process of teaching. Through a variety of teaching methods, students’ love of humanity, virtue of beauty and goodness, true will, interest in innovation, gratitude and patriotism are stimulated to promote the transformation of classroom teaching from the knowledge level to the value level.

Online teaching resources, online open teaching platform and big data technology are used to show the practical results in the form of PPT in the classroom. The individualized guidance and service for students are emphasized, and the role of practical education is played. The innovation and entrepreneurship education is fully integrated into the teaching, and the cultivation of students’ engineering ability, innovation ability and entrepreneurial thinking is strengthened.
