The aim of this module is to demonstrate to Fellows the importance of effective project management to deliver research projects on time, within budget and of the highest quality.
It will enable students to understand the necessary skills required to build a detailed project plan including budget and financial management and carefully monitor progress against it ensuring roles and responsibilities are defined to deliver against agreed milestones.

Learning Outcomes:

On completion of this module Fellows will be able to:
1. Appreciate the stages involved in the effective project management of successful research projects to deliver results on time and on budget.
2. Access and apply the necessary tools to solve project challenges.
3. Become effective at time management and prioritisation
4. Have enough financial knowledge to prepare a budget to support an application for research project funding.
Be familiar with Teagasc’s finance system and financial processes.
