Indicative learning outcomes On completion of this module students should be able to: 1. Thoroughly understand the process of the USP, Intellectual Property and competitive advantage, the hidden competitors. 2. Be in a position to build their own plan for finance and marketing and selling their new products or services. 3. To give a preliminary account of how they propose to build their business plan, , identifying the gaps in their plan and what they need to do to develop the plan further.

This module is only open to participants in the Food Graduate Development Programme (FGDP).
Learning Exclusions:Only FIRM funded post grad and post docs will be able to attend this module. If there are places available, non FIRM post grad researchers will be able to attend. Further details on www.foodpostgrad.ie
Learning Recommendations:Priority will be given to researchers with a new product idea that they would like to develop and market.
