About this Module

Indicative Module Content:

Workshops and one to one mentoring will be provided on a scheduled basis to enable students to create an individual digital plan and then embark on their digital project, manage its development, evaluate resource materials and identify and use appropriate tools to deliver it. The rationale for the digital project assignment is to help you gain practical experience of planning and completing a small scale digital project and to use some of the tools you have learned about on the course. Before beginning your project, it will be important to ask yourself the following questions:
What am I trying to achieve with this project?
Is it to showcase new research?
To make your chosen materials available in an easier to access format?
Is it to digitize something or to curate a collection/exhibition of works/images/maps relating to a certain theme or and present them in a new way?
Is it to show how historical or cultural material can be made more accessible and appealing to a wider general audience.
