A microcontroller is a small computer with all its parts on one integrated circuit. This course will examine typical microcontroller architectures; programming in assembly language; and interfacing to other hardware.

Learning Outcomes:

After completiong of this module, the students will have basic knowledge of a microcontroller based systems and their applications to different advanced electronic and telecommunication systems. The students will also have hands-on knowledge of interfacing microcontroller boards with PCs and write assembly language codes to perform certain functions with the microcontrollers.

Approaches to Teaching and Learning:
The module will be taught based on video lectures. There will be video learning materials given to the students. There might also be individual or group assignments and projects to facilitate learning.
