With early childhood inclusion as its focus, this module would focus on children in early childhood aged from birth to 8 years. Early childhood inclusion is explored from multiple perspectives, including early intervention, early childhood special education, natural environments, general early learning settings, and specialized education services. The content encompasses an overview of the most common types of special educational needs in early childhood, along with developmentally appropriate instructional, behavioral, and social-emotional interventions and strategies.

This module introduces participants to current, evidence-based practices in early childhood inclusion, including accommodations, modifications, interdisciplinary collaboration, positive behavior supports, and inclusive strategies that promote the development of all children within integrated early care and education settings. Participants will explore foundational theories and principles of inclusion and examine their application to children with diverse needs and backgrounds. Emphasis will be placed on critically analyzing theoretical frameworks and empirical research in relation to local contexts.
