At the end of this module students will be able to:
Conduct a literature review; select samples of academic papers and chapters, to prepare a literature review draft, on a thematic area; prepare a table of contents, a bibliography and a sample set of appendices, for a report/chapter; critically evaluate samples of academic writing (articles, reports and chapters).
How to conduct a literature review; how to use library tools to manage your data; preparing an outline of a Literature Review; developing an argument in your writing; providing a synthesis and analysis of relevant literature in your field; using illustrative material in your Literature Review; paraphrasing and quoting correctly in your work; creating a bibliography and appendices; reviewing, editing and proofing work for submission/publication; regulations concerning plagiarism.
