CVEN40820 Engineering Report 1

Academic Year 2023/2024

This is a core, degree-year module for students in the BE of Civil Engineering. In this module, students work in pairs to undertake an engineering research project. Project titles are issued at the beginning of Autumn, and allocated based on academic achievement (grade point averages). Students are also encouraged to propose their own projects for consideration. Once teams have been formed and project assignments finalised, students devise research plans to accomplish the projects. Student teams meet regularly with, and receive broad guidance from, academic supervisors, but teams must work largely on their own initiative.
