This module will focus on the use of Fibre Reinforced Composites (often called FRP) in structural engineering applications. This will include the use of FRP as reinforcement in concrete structures, as well as the use of FRP as a strengthening system for existing structures.

About this Module

Learning Outcomes:

On completion of this module the student will:
1. Understand the principles governing the use of FRP in structural engineering
2. Appreciate the application of these principles to structural engineering problems
3. Demonstrate this understanding through preparation of high quality design reports
