Learning Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this module, students will be able to:
1. Identify, formulate, analyse and solve a specific engineering or engineering pedagogy problem.
2. Critically review existing information to establish the current state of knowledge and to find case studies that have solved a particular engineering problem, making efficient use of both conventional library sources (books, papers, journals) and other electronic means (web etc.).
3. Devise and implement an appropriate research plan to investigate a specific engineering problem.
4. Communicate project findings effectively to peers and to a wider audience using modern media tools in oral presentations.
5. Write a technical report to a high professional standard.
6. Work effectively in a team with a partner to accomplish a complex engineering task.
