The Research Practicum is a core component of the MSc. Computer Science (Conversion) programme and offers an opportunity to build on the skills attained during the modules of the first two trimesters through a research and development project. The practicum consists of two core parts: 1) research skills, enhanced team-working and project management as part of a group project; 2) project research, implementation, presentation and report write-up. Additionally, there is an opportunity to engage with employers, to see how the skills achieved can play a role in industry, and to plan module choice for the final trimester. Career development tutorials will also support this.
