COMP3023J Wireless Sensor Networks

Academic Year 2023/2024

This module will equip the student to understand the challenges in developing and deploying wireless sensor networks (WSNs). These sensor networks are specialized networks of small devices that are designed to operate remotely. There is much active research carried out today to improve these networks and how they operate in varied applications. This course will cover the fundamentals of sensor systems, challenges in the operation of WSN, sensor hardware, power management, WSN protocols, routing in WSN, data fusion, sensor data, and data visualization.
