Purpose & Overarching Content
Advanced mathematics is one of the important basic theoretical courses for college students, who major in engineering. The course helps students to grasp: (1) Calculus of functions of one variable; (2) Basic conception of ordinary differential equation, basic theory and basic arithmetic skills, a necessary mathematical foundation to further study the successive courses and mathematical knowledge.

Learning Outcomes
The course task is teaching the basic knowledge and method involved in advanced mathematics. The objectives of the course are to train students with abstract thinking ability, logical reasoning ability, spatial imagination ability and self-study ability as well as computing ability and the ability to analyze and solve problems.
The basic requirement is can be divided into: ' Proficiency', 'Mastery', 'Acquaintance'.
