BSEN40550 Capstone Project 2

Academic Year 2021/2022

This module is the second part of the capstone project following on from BSEN40570 Capstone Project 1. Together they serve as the capstone experience for our final stage undergraduate students and to apply the knowledge they have gained in their course to a "real-world" problem. For this module you will undertake a design, an experimental or a systems analysis project. You will have to: agree a plan with your supervisor, do a comprehensive literature review of the topic, review possible approaches to the problem, use scientific and engineering knowledge to formulate and analyse the problem. Finally, you will have to produce a written project, including design drawings where relevant, and make an oral presentation (with visual aids) on the subject.

The written project should contain the whole project including the literature review (updated if necessary) from BSEN40570. It should demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the principles, background and previous work of the topic of your project, knowledge and understanding of any ethical or safety issues that arose, ability in applying your knowledge and use of principles to solve real-world problems.
