This module is taken by second year graduate students in the Biomolecular and Biomedical Science (BBS) and Biotechnology PhD programmes. It runs concurrently with BMOL50080. The module is focused on critical appraisal of literature as well as presentation and communication skills. Students present details of their research project to their peers in a Journal Club setting. Discussion is led by other students in the group.

About this Module

Learning Outcomes:

Students will learn to (i) critically assess and prepare their own data for presentation to scientific peers; (ii) present data orally; (iii) communicate their assessment of scientific data. Furthermore, students will learn to lead and participate in discussion of research findings.
