This module is taken by first year graduate students in the Biomolecular and Biomedical Science (BBS) and Biotechnology PhD programmes. It runs in conjunction with BMOL50090. The module is focused on critical appraisal of literature as well as presentation and communication skills. Students choose publications to present to their peers in a Journal Club setting. Discussion is led by other students in the group.

About this Module

Learning Outcomes:

Students will learn to (i) critically assess data presented in scientific publications; (ii) present data orally; (iii) communicate their assessment of scientific publications. Furthermore, students will learn to lead and participate in discussion of published findings.
