The world is undergoing a massive series of disruptions. From the sustainability movement going mainstream to the maelstrom of the COVID-19 pandemic to the rise of artificial intelligence (AI), tectonic shifts are reshaping businesses, societies, and the way we work. Projects are now the most important method we must turn these challenges into positive change and progress. Projects change the world. Projects inspire us all. They make impossible dreams possible. Despite its pivotal role, project management has historically been undervalued and projects often went unnoticed. However, this narrative shifted dramatically in 2020 with the global pandemic, which thrust projects into the spotlight, notably exemplified by the remarkable development of COVID-19 vaccines in less than a year (a process that usually takes more than a decade). Suddenly, projects were ubiquitous, whether at work, in personal lives, or in the news, highlighting that we all engage in project management as the driving force behind change. This module develops your ability to use the project management toolkit to successfully implement organizational change. You will learn about the similarity of project and process methodologies and how you can use process methods to improve the effectiveness of your wider organization.
