New Venture Creation and Development is designed to provide students with an understanding of the processes of entrepreneurial activity by examining the antecedents and consequences of opportunity identification and development. A central aim of the module is to develop a student's ability to discover, evaluate and develop ideas into commercially sustainable ventures. Students will also learn how entrepreneurs set out to achieve a product-market fit for their ideas whilst also building and leading an entrepreneurial firm. Through a series of case studies, students will also examine the development paths and junctures involved in the launch of new ventures.
