This module helps you develop an awareness of how business and ethical issues interconnect in organizations, and your role in navigating that relationship.

It explores business and ethics by examining their philosophical foundations, which provides a basis for understanding the key dynamics that influence both individual and collective decision-making and actions in organizations.

The module addresses contemporary challenges including social responsibility and environmental sustainability considerations that businesses face today.

You will have opportunities to discuss ethical issues through case studies and various ethical problems in a highly participative class environment.

Learning Outcomes:

On completion of the module, students should be able to:

- Recognize the ethical responsibilities of businesses by focusing on stakeholders and socio-environmental impact

- Identify ethical challenges in real-world business cases

- Use major ethical theories and frameworks to address business cases

- Examine how internal and external factors shape ethical decision-making and actions

- Collaborate to solve complex ethical challenges
