BMGT10130 Mastering University Learning - a skill based approach

Academic Year 2022/2023

Mastering University Learning is aimed at students wishing to improve their academic and professional efficiencies and effectiveness through a range of learning and development strategies.

The overall emphasis focuses on independent learning, communication, critical thinking, with a rigorous focus on individual development and refinement of these capacities throughout the module.

Participants are challenged to develop their academic proficiences and their educational and professional development through a process focusing on personal responsibility for engagement with the theoretical basis of the module readings mirroring the underlying basis of all their university learing.

This process enables students in turn to be action orientated in their development and personal achievement of the learning outcomes.

Through this process they learn how to modify and enhance their attitudes, behaviours and cognitive skills required to be successful in University and later in the work environment.
