This module builds on the learning and study skills acquired from BMGT1013D Skills for Higher Education (SHE).

It will focus upon three distinct areas for development; the importance of reflection in learning, criticality, and presentations and communications.

About this Module

Learning Outcomes:

On completion of this module you should be able to:

1. Understand the relationship between effective learning and reflection, and how to integrate reflective practice into your learning journey
2. Create and deliver an effective presentation both in a) the online space and b) face to face.
3. Have a greater appreciation for the importance of effectively critiquing sources that you will encounter and seek out during your studies
4. Integrate effective critical writing into all facets of your learning journey
5. Be more aware of the role that you play in group work, and to ensure that you play your part in fostering collegial and rewarding group into the future.

Approaches to Teaching and Learning:
This is a blended format module consisting of a self-paced Brightspace module interspersed with face to face classes. Students will attend classes and have the opportunity to engage in active learning. Classes will include discussion and group work to engage with the module content.

Harvard Referencing is required for all assignment submissions.
